“Stay Strong; Love Endlessly; Change Lives”- Amy

Amy died of suicide early this year. She got the world talking about suicide in a way that few ever have.

We have come so far in de-stigmatizing illness of all kinds, including mental health illness. And yet, we have a far way to go, don’t we?

This past month, we partnered with South of Heaven Tattoos and Body Piercing to allow Winnipeggers to show their love and support and help raise funds for free mental health programming for youth and families. During Mental Health Awareness Week (May 1-7) South Heaven offered semi-colon tattoos for $80 each with 50% of the proceeds going to support Inspire Community Outreach Inc.

This was to honour Amy Bleuel. To honour ourselves. We are in this together.
