COVID-19 and Autism

Join us for a talk on understanding and helping our children with autism be safe and happy through isolation. We will be having a interactive discussion with caregivers to address the challenges you are facing with your children right now. We invite you to bring your questions and concerns to our chat so we can support you anyway we can.

Objectives:
1) Introduction to autism and its related sensitivities and challenging behaviours.

2) Understanding the hidden reality of children with autism.

3) Learning responses you can use immediately to support connection to children who are hard to connect to, with special focus on social isolation.

4) Working within limited resources to maximize the well-being of children.

5) Providing practical tools customized to the needs of children with autism.

6) Building on your strengths and giving a variety of resources for continued growth and learning
