Crystal received her Bachelor of Nursing (RNBN) degree in 2015 through the University of Manitoba’s Indigenous Access program at the age of 30. She began her career in acute care before finding her passion working as a community primary care and public health nurse in the Point Douglas area of Winnipeg. Crystal has dedicated her career to building meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients who experience difficulties with social/health inequities, mental health, and substance use by relying on trauma informed care, harm reduction principles and personal lived experience. As an Outreach Worker, she looks forward to creating positive change with all clients and communities. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, the outdoors, and snowboarding.
