Working With Complex Children

A special training developed with and for Respite, Educational Assistants and other front line staff to increase skills in supporting children with complex needs and behaviours. Certificate offered.
Please join us to and learn with Angela Taylor, BA, PBED, MA. A former child in care, labeled with complex needs, caregiver of children with exceptional needs, and CEO and founder of Inspire Community Outreach.
Objectives:
1) Introduction to disabilities and challenging behaviours.
2) Understanding the hidden reality of families that include children with disabilities, including complex needs.
3) Learning responses you can use immediately to support connection to children who are hard to connect to.
4) Working within limited resources to maximize the well-being of children.
5) Providing practical tools customized to the needs of the children you support.
6) Building on your strengths and giving a variety of resources for continued growth and learning.
