Inspire offers support made with and for families, right here in Manitoba. We believe that together we are stronger than we are apart, and that everyone needs help at times in our lives.

Who are our services for?

Inspire supports the mental wellness of families who live with neurological sensitivities/differences.  We do this by creating outreach programming for three populations:

  1. Children and youth ages 3-29 who live with neurological differences or mental health challenges.  Including children and youth who have a diagnosed disability, as well as those without a diagnosed disability. This includes children with all types of differences, like behavioural challenges, ADHD, anxiety, and Autism.
  2. Family members, with our main focus on parents and primary caregivers.
  3. Professionals involved in support roles with these exceptional families, such as Teachers, Health Care Workers, Therapists, and Child Care Workers.

At Inspire

  • We can work in home all over Manitoba and in Northern Ontario and virtually all over Canada.
  • You do not need referrals or a diagnosis.
  • We work to connect you to responsive and accessible care within weeks!

How do I get referred?

You can self-refer for our services.

What is the Cost?

We offer a 20-minute consult call with you at no cost, with the goal of confirming the details on your intake form responses, introduce our services, gather financial information, and gain a better understanding of how we can best support you and your family.

Our services are offered on a sliding scale fee*.  Additionally we provide funding options, including Jordan’s Principle. We will discuss the fee structure during the intake process. Our rates are already subsidized and we do our best to meet families where they are at.

*Rates are based on household income and affordability. An estimated fee will be given if the needed documentation is not provided.

What type of service does Inspire offer?

We offer support through advocacy, education and programming support for families who include children to age 21 by phone and email.

  1. In Home Support Services (click for more information) is for families that include children aged 3-29, whose needs are not currently being met through existing social services and mental health systems, supporting families to flourish in their homes and communities. This support is for families who are in high levels of distress and who are having a difficult time finding the support they need.
  2. Service Navigation: mental health and disability services for children, youth, and families can be complex and confusing. Our team knows the system and can offer guidance and advocacy.
  3. Counselling: families that include mental health and disability service needs more often experience unusually high levels of stress and overwhelm. Our therapists specialize in coming alongside people of all ages and abilities through a strength-based approach (in-Person or Virtual options available).
  4. Assessment: our multidisciplinary assessment is based on understanding neurocomplexity, including brain wiring differences, the lived experience of those differences, and the impact of our environment, including relationships.
  5. Training and Community Outreach: custom training and programs are continuously updated with new research and community input, created for youth, parents, and service providers including community helpers, educators, and more.
  6. Parent/Adolescent Support Groups: we are continuously running various monthly in-person support groups at our 850A Pembina Hwy office location as well as other community centres in the community, for all parents raising neurodivergent youth and youth living with sensitivities.
  7. Educational Webinars: we offer online bi-weekly educational webinars by donation, on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm CST for parents, caregivers, and professionals working with neurodivergent youth. Each session we cover a different topic pertaining to neurodivergence!
  8. Get Your Art On! Our Art-For-Wellness Facilitation Guide book is for educators, facilitators, and those working alongside youth. This book is meant as a tool to explore personal creativity through art to deal with the stress & challenges that will inevitably come into our lives.

I think Inspire is a good fit for our family, what happens next?

  1. Complete the online intake. This helps us keep track of your family, because what you are going through is important to us. There is no obligation to work with us after completing the registration document.
  2. We will email or call you to set up a time to learn more about how we can help. We want to help, and do not want to turn anyone way. We also know how families like ours have limited resources, and will work within what you can afford.
  3. We will set up an intake meeting to see how best we can work together, to provide support to your family. You lead the process and can pause or stop at any time.
  4. We offer monthly online training opportunities led by our clinical teams on various topics on neurodiversity, managing behaviour, positive parenting and many more. Check out our calendar to learn more about the upcoming events.
