Our Team

Angela Taylor, BA, PBED, MA Disability Studies

Angela is our Founder and CEO. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology and a Post Bacc in Education, focusing on inclusion. She recently completed her Master’s in Disability Studies from the University of Manitoba and continues other ongoing training opportunities. She is a Mental Health and Disability Specialist with an eclectic therapeutic approach that includes attachment, cognitive behaviour therapy, positive psychology and CPS model (Collaborative & Proactive Solutions) supports.

Angela has many roles in the community, including a therapist and trainer at Aulneau Renewal Centre, advocate, researcher, developer and acts as a consultant to non-profits through Manitoba.

Lisa Van Den Hoven, BA

Lisa is our Assistant Director. Working at Inspire since 2015, Lisa has offered her skill as our lead strategist, developer and acted as a consultant.

She has supported many community initiatives with other groups including Winnipeg Babywearers and local parenting groups. She has a certificate from the University of Manitoba in Applied Behavior Analysis and has extensive experience working with special populations, including youth with developmental disorders, preschool and school age kids with ASD.

Lauren Wiebe, BA

Lauren is our summer student She recently graduated from the University of British Columbia majoring in Population and Public Health and Political Science. Lauren has a wide-ranging background in public health and a desire to work more in the mental health field. Throughout her degree she has worked with Public health in various ways including conducting research with her professor on illness narratives and volunteering with AIDS Vancouver for the last 4 years.

Kate Dubberley, MA

Kate Dubberley is our lead research analyst. She received her Master’s in Psychology at the University of Manitoba. Her areas of specialization in the social sciences include control theory, mindfulness and emotions. Kate offers mentorship to professionals, academics, and students in a variety of social science disciplines, from content expertise to research and quality improvement strategies. Erik Light

Erik is our Events Manager. He focuses on spreading unmeasurable amounts of love through all festivals & projects he is a part of. He has 3 plus years in the entertainment industry ranging from festival coordinating & marketing, artist management, and most importantly the work he does within the community to shine light on mental health awareness.

Dorota Cole

Dorota is our Youth Advisory Leader. Born in Nova Scotia, and raised in Manitoba, Dorota plays the violin and sings in the school and divisional choir. She is especially interested in science, Broadway musicals and helping out in the community.
