Workshops

Embracing Diversity and Inclusion in the Classroom

All workshops are designed for 60-minute sessions and can be adjusted to fit other lengths of time if needed. Cost per session is $50.

Book promotion with workshop: $10 (for 1 of each book)

Workshops include:

  1. Celebrating Being Different ( Pre-K-Grade 5)

This workshop will explore our books: All Kinds of Minds, a celebration of being different, and Jonathon and the Big Barbecue, a social story about being sensory sensitive and learning new techniques to increase well-being. Like everything at Inspire, things are created with and for children who live with differences.

Children are encouraged to reflect on their own differences and see how the behaviour of children around them might be due to challenges they face and the different way they experience the world. Through activity and art, children will be able to find positive words to re-frame disability and challenges, and  begin to see their peers differently.
